THE
17% FACTOR
Last
year Voices For The Unborn carried a story called "The Seventeen
Percent Factor". I would like to repeat this story again as
nothing has changed in this theory of why the United States as well
as other nations are in a deepening recession. We see hundreds of
experts giving their reasons why we are in this recession. We see
Congressmen and Senators pointing their fingers at one another as
well as the president when the reason we are in this recession is
so obvious. Since abortion became legal in 1973 there have been
50,000,000 abortions in the United States. That means that 17% of
our population has been destroyed in abortion mills across the nation.
It also means that we now have 50,000,000 less people to buy products
pay for services, pay taxes, contribute to Social Security, and
strengthen our armed forces. In May last year I reported the following
information. Ford and General Motors reported a 17% drop in sales.
How many cars would have been sold if those children that were aborted
were allowed to live. By now, those aborted in 1973 would be thirty
five years old and would have purchased at least five or six new
cars but they are not here to buy them.
On June 4, 2008 Ford Motor Company reported to the Baltimore Sun
a 17% drop in sales for the first quarter of 2008. Another report
of sales on June 3rd by General Motors also reported a 17% drop
in sales as reported on Ameritrade. Pacific News, Honolulu also
reported a 17% drop in new car sales in Hawaii on their May 22nd.
How many billions of dollars has our Social Security lost because
of the loss of fifty million workers? Is this why the retirement
age wax raised by 17%? The enlistment agency last year also reported
a drop in enlistment by 17%.
What do we read in our newspapers, hear on radio, and see on television
about the economy? You don't have to be a rocket scientist to see
that with the abortion of 50,000,000 people we have been in a continual
decline in our economy. European nations are facing the same problem
except for Ireland, a nation against abortion, who has reported
a 68% increase in sales over the past ten years. Wake up America
before it is too late. We must stop abortion now.
